When we lease you a dedicated server (although we lease you the server, it’s all yours to manage) it’s custom-configured to your application, e.g., website, web hosting, database, gaming and video streaming. And it can be more than one – for even better performance capabilities. If that means you’re a bigger (or rapidly growing) business, that’s all the more appealing to go with dedicated server hosting.

If you’re looking for the most power and control over your hosting environment, dedicated server hosting is for you. And, it’s also recommended that you have advanced server administrative skills to best manage your dedicated server.

Dedicated Server Hosting includes one free dedicated IP address to use for custom applications, staging sites, email and other administration tasks.

• Custom software and applications: If you’re running any custom software on your server then you might require a dedicated IP address. Some types of server software will require a dedicated IP in order to function properly.
• Control Panel Management: Separate your sites and your control panel onto 2 different IP addresses for security and to isolate services.
• Email deliverability: A dedicated IP protects your reputation and ensures your emails get delivered to their intended recipients. If you’re using domain-based email (i.e., [email protected]) you may potentially run into email delivery issues.

(Please note: If you use a shared IP address with your email — with other users on the same shared IP address — you run a greater risk of your IP getting blocklisted or blocked.)

A dedicated server can run any type of website. However, unless the site is mission-critical with very high traffic (or using high intensive resource applications), dedicated server hosting will provide more power, but may not be necessary. Other solutions like shared hosting, Web Hosting Plus or a VPS may be better suited for less resource-intensive needs.

Yes, you can install a control panel with selected OS versions. We offer easy-to-use control panels like cPanel/WHM or Plesk Obsidian Web Host Edition (includes WordPress toolkit) available on Linux CentOS.

Yes. If you currently have a VPS hosting account with us, you can upgrade to our dedicated hosting at any time by ordering a new server. For fully managed customers, we’ll migrate your data from your current account to your new server. We also offer paid migrations for those who don’t want to migrate their data manually.

Yes, because the upgrade includes a new server purchase. Although the average time for us to provision your new server will likely be a few minutes, it may take up to 24 hours or more. But, if you need your hosting right away, call us at (480) 624-2500 and we’ll do our best to speed things up.

Depending on your requirements, you may choose one of two disk types: HDD and SSD NVMe. HDDs are traditional spinning disks, which provide the highest storage capacities – however, while HDDs offer extremely high capacities, they are not the fastest options.

For customers with a high demand on read/write performance, we now offer SSD NVMe. SSDs are Solid State drives, which are much faster than HDDs by nature because they don’t have any moving parts. To increase performance even further, we offer NVMe SSDs, which use the NVMe interface specification for PCI Express-based solid drives. NVMe drives are not affected by the bottlenecks of the ATA interface – delivering up to 4X better IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) than the fastest SAS option available.

Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) is a means for storing data on multiple hard disks, then linking the disks so that the operating system on your server views them as a single entity. Yes, we provide RAID-1 with all of our dedicated server hosting plans.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS or PCI for short) designates security standards to protect cardholders’ credit card data. That means, entities that store, process or transmit credit card information are expected to be compliant to the standards in the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.

Our hosting services are a great place to setup your online presence and product catalog. You can then work with a third-party provider to process payments on your behalf to keep credit cards off your server.
